Located on the legendary Chao Phraya river in the Thonburi district of Bangkok, The Peninsula Bangkok's unique W-shape offers wonderful panoramic views from every guest room. The Peninsula Bangkok is near the Sathorn Bridge, offering nearby access to river crossing, as well as all of Bangkok's major tourist attractions and business addresses. The Peninsula Bangkok is located 37 kilometers southwest of Bangkok's Don Muang International Airport. Similar to the flagship property in Hong Kong, the distinctive architecture of The Peninsula Bangkok has now added a statement to the Bangkok skyline. The charming Peninsula riverboat shuttle service and sky train bring the hotel close to all major shopping areas and tourist attractions. The hotel offers five restaurants and two bars featuring many different types of local and international cuisine. A fully-equipped business center and 24-hour room service and concierge are also available. Recreation facilities include a fully equipped spa and fitness center, 60-meter, three-tiered outdoor swimming pool and two floodlit tennis courts. Traditional Thai massage is also provided at the fitness center. Golf bookings and transportation can be arranged at Thai Country Club, a well-known golf course in Thailand. The Peninsula Bangkok has received numerous international awards including 'World's Best Hotel' by Travel and Leisure and 'Best Hotel in Asia' by Conde Nast Traveler. A 3 tier swimming pool is located at the side of the hotel offering a river view. A snack or even lunch set can also be served upon guest request. The prestige facility also includes peninsula spa and state of art fitness club. Top quality service is provided. This is a truly well designed hotel suitable for all types of clientele.

Location. The Peninsula Bangkok rises along the Chao Phraya River, six kilometers from the historical Sanam Luang district in Bangkok, Thailand. This hotel operates a private river pier and ferry shuttle that delivers guests to nearby River City shopping center and Saphan Taksin Skytrain station.

Hotel Features. The Peninsula Bangkok has received the Condé Nast Traveler Gold List award and the 2005 Travel + Leisure 500 Greatest Hotels and Resorts award. This property offers many dining options, among them Thiptera restaurant that overlooks the river and serves authentic Thai cuisine in teak huts. Jesters provides dramatic décor, evening light shows and live jazz performance every afternoon. A business center, flexible conference space and wireless Internet access are available. The hotel tower rests on manicured lawns comprised of two outdoor dining areas, two tennis courts and a three-tiered pool that stretches more than 50 meters. A fitness center and beauty salon are also located on the premises.

Guestrooms. The Peninsula Bangkok was designed in a W-shaped configuration that provides river views for all guestrooms. The 37-story hotel offers 324 guestrooms, suites and themed rooms. Basic accommodations reveal silk-clad finishes, teak foyers and executive desks. Select rooms feature walk-in closets, walk-out balconies, formal living areas, sofa sitting niches, minibars and DVD players. Marble bathrooms feature separate showers and tubs, and televisions.

Expert Tip. The hotel concierge can arrange longboats that transport guests down the Chao Phraya River and back in time to Bangkok's historic sites. However, a helipad offers convenient hotel access to those who prefer sophisticated forms of transportation.

Deluxe rooms welcome guests with teak foyer, complete with walk-in closets and luggage bench. The executive desk is oversized and well-equipped. The final touch is the breathtaking view of Chao Phraya and the city beyond. Deluxe room located on 4th-9th floor. Balcony room has a private outside furnished balcony overlooking Chao Phraya River. Banquet & Conference Facilities The ballroom is located in front of the hotel's main entrance, and is the perfect venue for events ranging from small seminars to large conferences, with a selection of meeting rooms available featuring the most advanced audio-visual equipment. Adjacent to the ballroom is a lush tropical landscape overlooking the swimming pool, canal and tennis courts. There are ample parking facilities for conference participants, and desitgnated areas for meeting groups.

Sakuntala Ballroom, on the Lobby level, has a seating capacity of over 400 people, and can be divided into two separate function rooms. It is ideal for cocktail receptions, conferences, parties, coffee breaks and informal gatherings. There are four breakout rooms adjacent to the pillarless ballroom. The interior decor features alternating teakwood upholstered wall panels in shades of beige and gold while the carpet carries an intricate Thai floral pattern in gold, mauve and green, and the domed teak, lattice ceiling supports exquisite crystal chandeliers.
 
A variety of restaurants are available. Breakfast is served in one. There is a Cantonese restaurant, a restaurant which serves Pacific style cuisine and another serving international cuisine.

    The lobby is grand with high ceilings and a drawing room atmosphere. Reception area is quite boutique and removed from the main lobby.

    The hotel is a high-rise 37 storey building of pink concrete with green reflector glass bay windows.

    The hotel is located on the west banks of the scenic Chao Phraya River in Thonburi, close to Sathorn Bridge and within easy access to major business districts and shopping areas. It is approximately 45 minutes from Bangkok Airport.

    Transfers & Directions
    The Peninsula Bangkok is stunningly located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River, Bangkok's celebrated ‘River of Kings'. Guests can reach the hotel either by car or by boat, and The Peninsula Bangkok also operates a comfortable lounge at The Peninsula Pier – on the opposite side of the river – for guests' maximum convenience. The Peninsula Pier is also adjacent to the Saphan Taksin Skytrain (BTS) station, and is approximately 35 minutes from Don Muang International Airport.

    Transfers To and From the Hotel
    The Peninsula Bangkok operates a fleet of Rolls-Royce Silver Spurs and Mercedes-Benz S-Class 280L, which are used for airport transfers. These chauffeur-driven vehicles are also available for hire on an hourly basis within the city or for longer journeys out of town.

    Helicopter Service

    A helicopter service is offered from the hotel's own helipad, either for airport transfers or for city tours or transportation.
