Here all your daily stresses will feel like they're a million miles away. The only dilemma you might experience will be deciding which of our three swimming pools to slip into… or whether to lounge on the beach instead. Still there is plenty on offer to keep your days active.

Swimming Pool
Take a dip in our swimming pool. It offers one of the best viewing spots on the island-you can watch the sailboats coming in and the sun setting over the spectacular lagoon of Grand Baie, without leaving the coolness of the pool.

Water Sports
Make the most of every moment at the ocean with a range of complimentary water sports and activities available to all resort residents. From pedal boats, windsurfing and kayaks to sailing, snorkelling, big-game fishing and water skiing there's so much more to do and see.

Diving
Let our five-star PADI qualified diving monitors introduce you to the many wonders on the ocean floor.

Land-Based Activities
For those looking for adventure on dry land, there's plenty of adrenalin-fuelled activities to keep you occupied. Try your hand at a leisurely round of pétanques or mini golf, or get competitive with a game of beach volleyball, ping pong or tennis. Visit LUX* Me Fitness for a dynamic array of tailor-made exercises, yoga classes and fitness programmes. Venture a little further afield into the lush tropical hillsides of the island with an exhilarating bike road through the local markets and villages or a scenic hike along the lush mountain passes.

Golf
The natural setting of the course, over rolling links style terrain, is complemented by excellent fairways and firm greens. A special feature is the volcanic rock, piled high to form pyramid like structures that dot the course. Plenty of water makes for many challenges and afternoon sea-breezes can make a difference of 2 or 3 clubs to your selection. The longest put is located at hole No. 10 with a distance of 566 yd.

LUX*Me Spa and Fitness
At LUX* Me spa, it's all about you. Create your own integrated spa and fitness experience from our indulgent 'Me Time' Spa Menu or allow our skilful spa concierge and therapists to tailor-make an experience just for you. Getting married at Merville Beach in Mauritius
Imagine… Tying the knot on a sandy beach, your family and friends close to hand, the sky alive with colour as the sun sets over the Indian Ocean… It may sound like fantasy, but thanks to the benevolence and hospitality of the Mauritian people, your dream wedding can become a reality without the stress or bureaucratic red tape that couples can often experience elsewhere.
Unlike many exotic wedding destinations, Mauritius offers non-residents a legally binding marriage. Symbolic ceremonies and vow renewals are also popular, but what truly sets Mauritius apart is the island's tendency to embrace every visitor as one of its own. The Mauritian Government introduced a special procedure simplifying the bureaucracy for non-resident couples, allowing you to focus on more important things, enjoying each and every moment of your special day…

Restaurants & Bars
RestaurantRestaurantRestaurant

Dining al fresco style has never looked so good. Forget fussy accoutrements and bring on a lighter hearted dining experience, inspired by authentic local flavours. Share a romantic candle-lit dinner on the beach under star-lit skies. And if the sun isn't intoxicating enough, enjoy a cool sunset cocktail overlooking the ocean.

Le Badamier (7 a.m to 10 a.m / 12 p.m to 3 p.m / 7 p.m to 9.30 p.m)
Built around an old badamier tree, Le Badamier is surrounded by the bright flowers and emerald hues of tropical gardens. Unpretentious dishes inspired by Chinese, Creole and French traditions, draw on the many cultural influences of Mauritius. There's also a pizzeria tucked away in a corner, for when you all you crave is a crispy crust and melted cheese.
Tables d'hôte menus and gourmet barbecues are also a popular attraction, along with regular themed dinners to the crooning of local musicians and entertainers. And if you somehow can't find what you're looking for, then chances are it's on the tempting buffet heaped with fresh salads, sticky sweets and more.

La Terasse  (10 a.m  1 a.m)
Languorously perched on the edge of the beach facing the lagoon, La Terasse offers beach service and a shady retreat, under a traditional thatched roof. As trendy beats skip out across the lagoon, quench your thirst with our very own island water packaged in sustainable, recyclable bottles. Or for something with a little more punch, try one of our exotic cocktails. They are a local specialty that will send your taste buds into orbit.

Beach and Room Service
It's not a truly perfect island holiday unless you're being served deliciously refreshing treats while lounging beside the pool, ocean or in the comfort of your room. Make the most of your stay with our beach and room service facilities.

Evening Entertainment
At Merville Beach, we don't do ordinary. All of our entertainment is performed by genuine, enthusiastic and highly talented dancers, musicians and artists of every kind. From the rhythmic beat of the Mauritian Sega to the very best local music troupes and performers, every evening is an opportunity to experience something new and truly authentic.

Dress Code
Although there's no particular dress code during the day, we do ask you not to wear uncovered swimming attire in the restaurant during breakfast time. Evening wear is smart-casual after 6pm. And gentlemen, no flip-flops or shorts in the restaurants and bars during dinnertime please.

The hotel is situated in the north of the island, near the seaside village of Grand Baie. Formerly a fishing village, this place has since turned into one of the trendiest places on Mauritius and is often referred to as the local Riviera. Stretching along a beautiful beach lined with Filao Trees, Grand Baie rapidly became a popular tourist resort, with its trendy restaurants and fashion shops.
