Hotel Introduction
facadefacade

The hotel blends old architecture with modern facilities.Recreational activities include a swimming pool, sauna, steam room and gymnasium. Other services offered are a business center, safe deposit boxes, car rental services, bus shuttle to town, arrangement for round island tours and laundry services. This hotel represents good value for money in the city of Kota Kinabalu.

Berjaya Palace Hotel is located in the Malaysian State of Sabah, a land rich in dense rainforest, powdery beaches, lush paddy terraces and water buffaloes and a culture filled with myth and traditions. Mount Kinabalu, South East Asia's highest peak, lies in the state.

People do not exactly know what the name of the place exactly means but of course it is the Mount Kinabalu from which the city derives its name. If you are visiting Mount Kinabalu then Berjaya Palace promises a good accommodation experience. As the name suggests, the stark white building is complete with turrets and the distinctive hotel stands majestically on a hill, overlooking the castle. One of the favorite 3 star hotels in the city, The Palace Hotel Kota Kinabalu offers good value for money for guests.

There are innumerable speculations on what was the reason why this region was so called. The most popular is the theory that suggests that it was named after Mount Kinabalu which is situated about 90 kilometers to the northeast of the city. This theory also says that the name Kinabalu perhaps means "Chinese widow". Other theories are there too. It is also argued that Kinabalu or Akinabalu is named after the dragon which guards the giant pearl about which people read in the folklore.
