Le Méridien She Shan Shanghai is in the Song Jiang district, approximately 46 kilometres southwest of the city center. The hotel is built next to the National Tourist Resort and the largest manmade lake in Shanghai. The National Tourist Resort of She Shan comprises some 47 square kilometres and is the only area in Shanghai that offers scenic mountain views.

As a fusion of Chinese and foreign cultures, Sheshan National Tourist Resorts is a tourist attraction with both natural and cultural significance. It is comprised of a number of scenic spots and places of interest such as Shanghai Sculpture Park, West She Shan Park, East She Shan Park, and Shanghai Outlets.
