Deluxe Suite
Based on a studio concept, each deluxe suite offers combined lounge and bedroom space, with its own balcony that overlooks the swimming pool. Each room is a showcase of finely handcrafted wood furniture and accents. A unique feature is the shrouded vanity and wash basin which has been discreetly added to the main room rather than bath area.

With a separate room for lounging and dining away from the bedroom, this spacious suite is perfect for a relaxing vacation. With glass paneled walls replacing the balcony, allowing a view of the swimming pool and the lotus ponds beyond, this is ideal for families or for the elite recluse who prefers maximum privacy. With far more than adequate space, full in-room dining service can easily be arranged within the luxury of a Queen Suite.

King Suite

The Spa’s inspirations are the Apsara, known in Hinduism for their celestial beauty and charm. A rare treat not just for women with its beauty rejuvenating treatments nor just for the men with its array of massage but also for children with its very own kid’s menu.

Swimming pool
Designed after the ancient royal bathing pool, Srah Srang, The Sothea’s swimming pool is definitely its “piece de resistance”. Salt watered and underlain with gold leaves, it literally shimmers on broad daylight or on sheer moonlight.

The Courtyard is the focal rendezvous for entertainment in the whole resort. From classical dance performances to lone, romantic musical interludes or even performance-art displays, this area adds color to each and every guest’s experience in the hotel. This can also be used as a private dining area or as an exclusive cocktail lounge. This whole area which seemingly floats from a distance because of the water features which cascades softly around is an artistic and nouveau architectural interpretation of the Angkor Wat when seen from an aerial perspective. The white terrazzo corridor leading up to the Courtyard is also reminiscent of the hallways of Angkor Wat.

The Gallery at Courtyard
The Gallery at the Courtyard reveals the soul, recalls stories and shares secrets with its art ensembles, its photograph trails and its showcase of intricate local skills such as silk-weaving or bead-making.

The Sastra is the resort’s Library. The name is derived from the ancient Buddhist palm leaf scrolls treasured by the monks especially for the age old wisdom and chants they contain. Books, whether traditional or contemporary, fiction or non fiction as well as magazines either for trade or special interest are well stocked at Sastra. As it is right next to the Flame Bar, drinks and light tid bits always gives an extra lift to a light and restful read.

There is something to satisfy every palate at The Sothea. Treat yourself to an unforgettable gastronomical experience with an extensive range of dining options.

Chatra, the main restaurant is based on a “marche” concept where the resident Chef cooks us a signature dish based on the days freshest market produce. This highlights the dining experience which goes beyond the Khmer and International favorites already featured in the menu. Chatra which in ancient Khmer means Chandeliers referring to the glittering lamps which decors the restaurant’s ceiling is also known for its beautiful walk-in wine cellar, and its fantastic views of the musical or dance performances at the Courtyard.

A prominent display in this area is the antique reproduction statue of Vishnu and Uma by the piano area. A testament to the love of a man for his wife, an ode to the lady Sothea and an inspiration for the restaurant service meant to mimic the unique affection of a woman for her husband.

Terrace is an all day dining facility with a view of the swimming pool. Continental Breakfast is available for in house guests starting 4:30 am while hot, set breakfast is on from 6:30 am to 10:30 am. A unique service feature showcased only in this restaurant is the “umrek” bread and fruit service. The ‘’umrek” refers to a food scale used to this day in the Cambodian country side by vendors of rice cakes and rice noodles. A rare spectacle meant to surprise dining guests and to ensure that with a roving bread counter, they will always have their fill.

Light fares are available all day long. Sumptuous native delicacies and traditional favorites like butter or chocolate cakes are served fresh in the afternoon matched with a flavorful tea selection.

Flame is a bar so called because of the candles which dominates the décor-art for this area. Enjoy funky mocktails, artsy cocktails and serious wines with cigar, as an option in a lounge atmosphere.
