The hotel is near Chislehurst Common with forests and open spaces, five minutes from the Chislehurst Caves and near Camden Place, which was home to Napoleon III and Empress Eugenie. The establishment is 4.8 km from the centre of Bromley and 1.6 km from the A20 main road leading in and out of London and near the A222 to Sidcup. The nearest London underground station is Greenwich. London Gatwick Airport is about 60 km away.Constructed in 1874 and renovated in 2012, the historical hotel combines the history of the 19th century with contemporary style, facilities and hospitality. The establishment offers plenty of entertainment with live music at night and jazz lunches in the bar. Both visitors and local residents enjoy the traditional food cooked in the attractive restaurant, while the pub offers authentic Kentish beers on tap, as well as international lagers and a good selection of wines.
